Esmeralda Lagoon

Discover the beauty of Laguna Esmeralda on a hike through the lush forests of Tierra del Fuego.

We'll depart from the hotels via National Route No. 3 heading north to move away from the Beagle Channel and discover one of the main valleys on the island. There, we'll begin the hike through a peat bog until we reach a lenga forest, following a stream that guides us to Laguna Esmeralda, nestled between mountains, where we'll enjoy our snack with glaciers behind us.

On our way back, we'll take advantage of the long sunset to intimately connect with the landscape. We'll marvel at the dams built by the forest engineers, the beavers, and then we'll begin our return journey to the city to conclude the experience.

IMPORTANT

To ensure that you enjoy your experience to the fullest at our destination, we recommend that you come prepared with the following clothing and essential accessories:

  1. Layering: The weather can vary throughout the day, so it's important to dress in layers. This will allow you to adapt to different temperatures and stay comfortable at all times.
  2. Coat and Waterproof Footwear: Choose a coat and waterproof footwear to protect yourself from moisture and keep you dry and warm throughout your visit.
  3. Winter Accessories: Don't forget to bring a hat, scarf, neck warmer, and gloves. These items are essential to protect yourself from the cold and wind.
  4. Sun Protection: Even if it's cold, the sun can be very intense. Bring sunglasses to protect your eyes and apply sunscreen to protect your skin.
