Our journey begins from your hotel, heading along the iconic National Route No. 3 toward the heart of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, a natural gem filled with lenga and guindo landscapes that seem straight out of a fairytale. Upon entering the park, an interpretive trail invites us to delve into the history and magic of the place, always guided by our expert guides, passionate connoisseurs of every corner.
The next destination takes us to the imposing Lago Roca – ErrazurizA mirror of crystal-clear waters, surrounded by an ancient forest where trees over 300 years old seem to guard the border with Chile. Close to this, we will visit the Alakush Visitor Center, where we will discover fascinating stories about the fauna, flora, and human occupation of these lands, from the Yámanas to the pioneers and old sawmills. Here, in front of breathtaking views, we will take a moment to relax and connect with nature.
The adventure continues as we walk along trails to reach the legendary end of the National Route No. 3 in Lapataia Bay.a corner where the land merges with the sea. But we don’t stop there: from Puerto Arias, we will board a boat to take a exclusive navigation of 15-20 minutes towards the mysterious Isla Redonda. Upon disembarking, a 40-minute mini trek (round trip) awaits us to explore this unexplored corner. We will visit the old Naval Prefecture outpost, a legacy of the former prisoners, and venture along an easy-to-moderate trail that will lead us to a panoramic viewpoint with majestic views of the Beagle Channel and the Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay.
On our way back to Puerto Arias, our excursion continues towards Ensenada Zaratiegui Bay, where the southernmost post office in the world invites us to leave an indelible mark of our visit. Here, a short trail will lead us to view unique rock formations and a forest that seems to reach for the sea, offering us a natural spectacle that concludes this unforgettable day.
